How to check screen time on iPhone

How to find your Screen Time on iPhone.

Your iPhone already tracks a daily average, weekly trend and per-app breakdown. Here is where to find it and which number to use in the calculator.

The short answer

Go to Settings → Screen Time → See All App & Website Activity. Toggle Day/Week to find a typical average. The breakdown by app is on the same screen.

Use the screen time calculator

Pick a typical week, not a single day

One day can be misleading — travel, a long call, or a weekend binge can skew it. The Week view smooths those outliers.

Use the daily average shown at the top for Week. That is the most useful input for the calculator and for the days view.

Check the breakdown, not just the total

The total tells you how much, the breakdown tells you where. Compare the apps you intentionally use with those you open without planning.

That split helps you choose one realistic next step instead of a broad ‘use phone less’ goal.

A practical next step

01

Open Settings

Tap Screen Time in the main Settings list.

02

Open App & Website Activity

Choose See All to see Day/Week and the per-app list.

03

Copy a typical daily number

Use it in the calculator to see weekly/yearly totals.

Common questions

Can I see time for one app?

Yes. The activity list shows each app and category; tap an app for its daily/weekly detail.

Why is Screen Time missing?

It may be turned off. In Screen Time, tap Turn On and choose your device.

Can I use the weekly total?

Yes. Divide the weekly total by 7 to get a daily average.
